The
purpose of the Laing Band Boosters is to serve and support
the Band Director's plans and needs for the Laing Band
so that the Band Director's concerns regarding funding
and parental assistance are minimized.
Fund-raising
activities help support band instruments, equipment,
clinicians, and various band activities, in light of
limited state and county funding.
Parental
assistance helps display our dedication to our children,
our Band Director, and to Laing Middle School. It also
provides resources that are necessary for conducting
band-related activities and events.
Band
Booster support should not interfere with the Band Director's
approach to teaching and directing the Laing Band. If
the Band Director finds that the support does not exist,
the Band Director reserves the right to re-format the
Band Booster organization or Executive Board as he or
she deems necessary.
