The City of Charleston Tennis Center is a public 15-court lighted complex that is open on a year-round basis. Besides the courts, the Center has a lounge area with vending machines, restrooms, and shower facilities, and practice wall. The Center is located approximately 2 miles from downtown Charleston just off Highway 17 South.

Monday-Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

CHARLESTON RECREATION DEPARTMENT

The Charleston Recreation Department maintains fifty-two tennis courts, twenty-nine of which are lighted. The Center is a 15 hard-court complex that has hosted tennis tournaments ranging from city championships to National Collegiate Finals. Located at 19 Farmfield Avenue in West Ashley, the Tennis Center offers everything for the tennis enthusiast from lessons to novice tournaments to USTA rated leagues. A practice wall, lounge area, vending machines, changing rooms and shower facilities are available. There is a nominal charge to use the courts.

The other major tennis center operated by the City is the Maybank Tennis Center. The center has 8 hard courts and 3 clay courts. There us also a nominal charge to use these courts.

Johnson (Harborview Road).
